Delete my account and my data
1. Before deleting: get your data
Deletion erases your online progress. If you want to keep a copy:
- Open Rusukh and tap the Settings icon (top right of the home screen).
- Scroll down to the My data panel and tap Get my data.
- The app creates a file
rusukh-mes-donnees-YYYY-MM-DD.jsonwith the whole progress of the active profile (words, reviews, history, hadiths, verses, letters, My hifz, dialogues, preferences) and opens the phone's share sheet: save it or send it wherever you want. Repeat for each profile if you have several.
The same button exists in the deletion dialog ("Get my data first").
2. Deleting from the app
- Sign in to the account to delete (if you are not already).
- Tap the Settings icon at the top right of the home screen.
- In the Account panel, tap Delete my account.
- A dialog reminds you of what will be erased and offers Get my data first. Tap Delete to confirm.
- The app shows the deletion date (in 30 days) and signs you out. From then on, no synchronisation touches the account.
Changing your mind. Sign in again with the same account before the announced date: the request is cancelled, nothing is lost, and the app confirms it.
After the period. Every day, a process on our servers erases the accounts whose request is more than 30 days old. This process does not depend on your phone: it happens even if the app is uninstalled.
3. Deleting without the app
If you no longer have the app, no longer have the device, or cannot sign in:
- Write to contact@neuroline-airblast.com with the exact subject: Suppression de compte Rusukh (or Rusukh account deletion).
- Send the message from the e-mail address of your Rusukh account (that of your Google or Apple account, or the one used at sign-up). This is how we check that the request really comes from you. If you no longer have access to it, tell us: we will ask for a few details to confirm your identity.
- We acknowledge receipt within 7 days and apply the same process as from the app: a 30-day hold, then complete erasure. If you want immediate erasure, without the reflection period, say so in the message.
4. What is erased
At the end of the period, the following is permanently erased:
- your account (identifier, e-mail address, sign-in method);
- all the online progress of each profile: review cards, review log, ticked words, checks, readings, dialogues, letters, memorised hadiths and verses, My hifz, saved preferences;
- your profiles (names, emblems, counters);
- your friends and your presence in their friends lists, your friend requests sent and received;
- the fingerprint of your address in the directory (no one can find you any more);
- your leaderboard rows;
- your challenge invitations and your challenge results;
- your notification tokens (no more friend or challenge notifications).
After this erasure, your data can no longer be restored by us.
5. What is kept, and for how long
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| The data on your phone (progress, voices, downloaded Quran) | It belongs to you and is not on our servers. A new account created on the same device starts again with it. | Until you uninstall the app or erase its data in the phone's settings. |
| The usage statistics already sent (if you had said "Yes") | They are not linked to your account but to an installation; they feed anonymous totals. | Installation data: the period set in our Firebase console, 14 months at most. Anonymous totals: without limit. |
| The crash reports already sent (if you had said "Yes") | Fixing crashes; they contain neither your address nor your answers. | 90 days. |
| Our e-mail exchanges, including your deletion request | Proving that the request was handled. | Three years at most. |
| Your subscription and receipts at Google Play or Apple | They are managed by the store, not by us. | Under Google's and Apple's rules. |
6. What about the subscription?
Deleting the Rusukh account does not cancel an ongoing subscription: the subscription is tied to your Google Play or Apple account, not to your Rusukh account. Cancel it in the subscriptions of your Google Play or Apple account, or in the app: Settings, "My access", "Manage". Do it before deleting the account, so you are not charged for a service you no longer use.
7. Deleting only part of it
- A profile: in the app, Settings, "Profiles", "Who is learning?": profile management lets you delete one (the original profile and the active profile cannot be deleted). Its online progress is erased.
- A friend: in "My friends", remove them; they disappear from your list and you from theirs.
- Statistics: Settings, "Improve Rusukh", turn the switch off; collection stops immediately.
- Notifications: the app's Settings, or the phone's settings.
- Just signing out: "Sign out" in the Account panel removes the device's notification token and leaves the account intact, so you can sign in again later.
